NK iMODE: Luxurious and Supportive Nightwear

We've included NK iMODE luxury lingerie in a more than one blog post on The Breast Life. Their gorgeous silk and lace styles are perfect for the full bust woman. But I was curious to learn more about this Canadian brand.

The first thing I wanted to know about NK iMODE was the meaning of their name. Turns, out that the NK stands for the first names of the two founders: Nanette and Kenneth. The "i" stands for the special person who enjoys the comfort and luxury of silk lingerie and “mode” is the expression of their style.

NK iMODE provides women with luxurious lingerie options that offer bust support. For someone in my age group, there is nothing more uncomfortable than my boobs making an unexpected exit from my nightwear. So this feature is great because I can choose what works best for my body. You can shop for items by three levels: maximum, moderate, or natural support.

How long has the brand been in business and what was the impetus for launch:

NK iMODE was founded in 2003, and all designs and patterns are created in our Vancouver, Canada studio. NK iMODE represents everyday luxury and aspires to help our clients embrace their beauty inside and out specializing in providing unexpectedly comfortable bust-support nightwear.

What makes it different or unique in the lingerie or intimate apparel market? What’s the lingerie niche you are trying to fill?

At NK iMODE our niche is a range of bust-support and intimate allure with maximum comfort. Our collections are timeless, reflecting refined, everlasting style and high craftsmanship while incorporating versatility and luxury made in beautiful silk and lace.


Who do you see as your ideal customer?

Our NK iMODE customer enjoys life to the fullest and appreciates quality and beautiful apparel, traveling, and making all occasions special. She appreciates her social circles and takes their opinions to heart when making decisions. She enjoys shopping online and is active on social media. With her busy lifestyle, our client is looking for quality and longevity, and comfortable silk pieces.



What’s been your most significant business challenge in establishing your brand (other than raising funds to launch)?

At NK iMODE we love to obsess over every detail! Our biggest business challenge: doing justice to every fabric, lace and design detail on a flat screen especially a mobile one.



Is there anything you find frustrating about the lingerie industry of which consumers have no clue?

Not at all!  We love what we do, and we are grateful that our NK iMODE lingerie lovers are knowledgeable and appreciate and respect our dedication to creativity and quality silk lingerie.


Where do you want the brand to be in the next ten years?

We want NK iMODE to be where it is now: an international brand known for its amazing customer care and smooth delivery of uncompromisingly comfortable and luxurious lingerie.


What is the one thing you want customers to know about the brand?

We want our customers to know that we are a family-owned company and that we are grateful to have a dedicated team who work together to create a positive customer experience all the time, every time!
