I’ve been a huge fan of Bravissimo for ages, but I never thought their stores would make it over the pond to the US. Not only did they launch a US-friendly version of their website with easy returns, but they’ve now opened a flagship store in New York. So it seems the perfect time to do a little intro to Bravissimo so that full bust and plus-size customers in America can get to know them better.
If you’re new to Bravissimo, then you deserve to explore everything they have to offer. Their stores are a high street staple in the UK, offering an incredible range of full bust and plus-size bras up to an L cup. While their bras were their original claim to fame, they’ve developed a long-standing and successful full-bust clothing line as well. I feature their pieces a fair amount, but today I'm doing an in-depth intro to Bravissimo. If you wear full-bust brands, here's why you need to give them a look.
Bras are Bravissimo’s original claim to fame and how they became so popular. Bravissimo was pioneering fashionable full-bust bra designs far before most brands - and doing it well. They offered full-service stores with a vast selection of lingerie and knowledgeable and respectful fitters. Additionally, their stores are now everywhere in the UK. If you go shopping anywhere, you’re reasonably likely to be close to a Bravissimo and everything they have to offer.
Bravissimo carries its line of bras but also stocks most of the other major full-bust brands. Their brand focuses on a wide range of sizes and frequently pioneers trendy new styles with superior support. Many of their bras go up to an L cup. And this puts them ahead of many larger brands in terms of the size range.
I’ve tried a lot of different Bravissimo bras, but if you’re new to the line, try either the Satine or some of the half cup styles. They’re genuinely different from what other brands are offering and worth adding to your lingerie collection.
Bravissimo swimwear is similar in quality to Panache or Freya, so they’re an excellent source for new prints and styles. Their swimwear also has a considerable size range which is excellent for those of us sized out of other well-known swimwear lines. While their swimwear used to be more standard, they now offer lots of trendy items and even some pieces with a sly sense of humor.

Bravissimo Full-Bust Clothing:
Bravissimo’s clothing line used to be known as Pepperberry, but it’s now re-branded to match the rest of their collections. What hasn’t changed is the fit and the quality; it’s still fabulous. Options tend to lean towards the work-friendly side. And they're not quite as trendy as other fast-fashion retailers. But it can be a great place to buy a classic dress or top that you’ll wear for years.
The New York store stocks a full range of bras and clothing from the website, so if you’re local, you can try everything on in person. If you want to find out more about the store and see some of the clothing on different bodies, Hourglassy has a great series that includes a massive group clothing try on. I’m hoping to try a bunch of stuff now that I’ll be living back on the East Coast.Iris Dress in Charcoal/Coral Available in 2 Colors Fits US Sizes 4-14 (Curvy, Really Curvy, Super Curvy) via Bravissimo
