Today's post is a review of two Shock Absorber sports bra styles.
But this bra review is a bit different. It's from two age groups: my 61-year-old self and 27-year-old daughter. Yep, it's a mother/daughter bra review!! Obviously, we both have very different physical and fashion needs. And it was surprising to see how one brand was able to meet each of our style, size, and support requirements.
Full disclosure: I received two Shock Absorber sports bras to review. All opinions are my own.
I choose the Shock Absorber Ultimate Gym Bra because, at my age, maximum support is necessary, even when I'm not sprinting on the treadmill. My regular workout routine includes cardio machines and weight training three times a week. So I appreciate that the Ultimate Gym Bra has a mesh-lined front panel for maximum ventilation. Two band closures in the back make it easy to get a secure custom fit. Also, the bra is wire free, and lightweight moisture wicking material means it is super soft and comfortable to wear. The Ultimate Gym Bra fits bands 30-38, UK cups A-F, and retails for $74.99.

My daughter reviewed the Active Zipped Plunge Sports Bra. When she exercises, it's about hiking in the Hollywood Hills or going to yoga classes. And she fell in love with this bra for its cute style and simple front zip closure. It's the perfect foundation for any weekend activity, from running errands to cleaning her apartment. Again, soft fabric and supportive construction were also a big plus. The Active Zipped Plunge is available in three colors, fitting bands 32-36 and UK cups B-F, and retails for $69.99.

Shock Absorber makes a broad range of sports bra styles for a variety of physical activities and bra sizes, including designs to support D+ cups. One sizing warning: both my daughter and got the best fit by going up our usual band size and down one cup size (our sister sizes).
