How's your bra knowledge? Do you know all the brands and styles available for your size or shape, where to buy them, or how much they cost? How about when it comes to swimwear?
There's a ton of intimate apparel on the market today, designed and manufactured all over the world. The more I know about which ones meet my specific fit needs, the easier it is to find what belongs in my Bra Zone.
It can be overwhelming and exhausting to view all the options when visiting lingerie trade shows. It's great to get a sneak peek of what's coming next season and meet old and new brands. But I can't wait to share what I find with readers.
There's so much to know. It could be how sizing standards, change from brand-to-brand or across borders. But it's also useful to learn where to shop, whether at small stores, big box outlets, online or all of the above. It's common to see a focus on an individual fashion niche, be it basics, luxury, bridal, or seduction. Some cater to specific sizes, from petite, full bust, or plus sizes. I'm fascinated by the history of the company--if they are a small operation or own several labels. It helps to understand their manufacturing process and how costs are passed on to the consumer.
That's why I'm launching a "Better Know a Brand" category on the blog today. It's a place where readers can discover and learn more about what might work for them. I'll include specific information on pricing, sizing, style niche, availability, and more. Look for more posts in this category in the coming weeks.
Here are a few photos I took at last week's Curvexpo lingerie and swimwear event. Which brands would you like to get to know?Loveday London
Share your thoughts and ideas in the comments below and I'll post more soon. A little bra knowledge goes a long way!
