Anita Maximum Support Air Control Sports Bra

Anita Maximum Support Air Control Sports Bra Review

  |   By Elisabeth Dale

As my bosom has kept growing the last few (post-menopausal) years, I've come to appreciate the support and comfort of stylish sports bras, especially those in bigger cup sizes.

Anita's latest sports bra model meets these requirements and more. The Anita Maximum Support Air Control Sports Bra DeltaPad 5544 specifications read more like the marketing highlights of a high-performance race car.

Full disclosure: I received the Anita Maximum Support Air Control Sports Bra to review. All opinions are my own.

Let's start with the basics: size and color. The Anita 5544 fits bands 30 to 42, and cups AA to H. It's also available in two colors, basic black, and a hot pink/black combo. But what makes this particular bra super cute is the see-through v-neck mesh style design.

The construction is unique. First, it's wire free. The Anita Maximum Support Air Control Sports Bra features a rounded contour DeltaPad (triangle shape) with a mesh overlay. Second, the soft, moisture-wicking terry lining covers the interior cups and band. The under band and straps (padded and wider at the center) keep everything stable and in place. Finally, there are some awesome boob sweat vents at the base of each cup. This type of ventilation is heaven for anyone who sweats a lot or enjoys high-intensity workouts---like hot yoga, spin class, or running. The exterior mesh plus venting and materials make it super lightweight and comfortable.

Here are a few close-ups of the bra, so you can better see specific features:

So how was my workout in the Anita Maximum Support Air Control Sports Bra? Great. I wore it during a cardio session and lifted weights afterward. The second time, I took it outdoors for a jog. The contour pad of the cups don't provide "full coverage," but the mesh exterior kept boob movement to a minimum. One feature I'd like to see is a racerback option, but the bra is cute enough to wear on its own. The 34E size fits me well, but I might go up to an F cup for a little more room. My more mature breasts are heavier and appreciate well-ventilated extra space.

I've worn Anita sports bras before, and am always surprised at how well they design their supportive non-wired sports bras. I'd recommend this newer model.

You can purchase the Anita 5544 from most online lingerie retailers, or use the global store locator on the Anita website.
