New Yellowberry Teen Bras Take Young Girls Seriously

If you're a regular reader, you know how much I love Yellowberry's tween and teen bras. The brand started out as the dream of then 19-year-old Megan Grassell. She wanted to buy her younger sister more age-appropriate bra styles. I'm not sure about you, but I can't imagine taking on such a project at her age. I was too busy focused on myself, lol.

But that's what Megan did. Yellowberry is a success today because their designs fill a gap in the market. And now its founder is paying it forward through the launch of a new line of natural organic styles.

The Yellowberry Natural Collection is unique for two reasons. First, Yellowberry listened to their customers and gave them what they wanted: comfy bras made of natural organic materials. Second, Megan employed young women to create the imagery around the campaign. They came up with the concepts and were in charge of the photoshoots.

Now age 22, it's easy for Megan to recall not being taken seriously when she first jumped into the intimate apparel business. So why not give younger women a more welcoming opportunity? These 17 and 18-year-olds include her younger sister. They were also Yellowberry's first models. So it's appropriate they take the marketing lead because they know the product. And, as Megan pointed out, they brought a new level of enthusiasm and excitement to the campaign.

Yellowberry's mission continues to be about listening to young girls. But it's not just what they prefer to wear. It's also how they want teen bras to be sold and photographed. Now it includes taking young women seriously and encouraging them to learn the skills it takes to run a business. And it's exciting to think what they'll accomplish in the future.
