Ender Legard Bodysuits: The Bridal and Black Tie Solution

One of the most difficult challenges for any bra fitter is helping a bride find the right foundation to wear under her wedding dress. Especially if she chooses a gown that is low-cut or backless, and she has heavy or less full breasts. After all, it's important to feel confident on your big day, and you can't do that if you think your boobs will be spilling out of your dress. That was the issue for me and my 34DDs back in 1984 (!!). I spent countless hours searching for a pretty and sturdy strapless number.

It's also a problem when shopping for a black tie or cocktail dress. That's also why this blog is timely given upcoming formal Holiday events. Heavy-duty (often boring) foundation garments make it nearly impossible to wear trendy cut-out or high fashion designs.

Enter Ender Legard. Their mission is to help women find the perfect support in any situation: whether it's a backless, plunging front, or a strapless look. And they do it with exquisite feminine bodysuit designs that make you look and feel your best.

Backless Solutions

I was lucky enough to try the Ender Legard Holly Bodice backless bodice. It's both lightweight and beautifully constructed, with delicate lace over soft mesh lined underwire cups. (Full disclosure: Ender Legard gifted me this item and all opinions are my own.) As you can see from the photo below, there's plenty of coverage in front, and a panty-line free thong in back.

If a high-rise thong doesn't work for you, Ender Legard offers more coverage, too. What I like best about their designs, is that you can wear them as outerwear. It's easy to layer them under jeans or pants and a cute jacket. Multiple strap options (including clear ones) give you options for extra security. And you're able to choose from a range of bra styles;  from full coverage, balconette, plunge, and push-up cups. Not into lace? Check out their satin and mesh Jacquard bodysuits, below.

Frontless and Strapless Options

Ender Legard also makes a couple of corsets for those low-cut or strapless dresses we all wish we could wear, if only we felt comfortable going braless. While I haven't tried these options yet, I think they're worth checking out.

Sizing and Prices

Ender Legard has a helpful online sizing chart, which includes a waist and hip measurement chart to determine your best size. And, thankfully, they explain sister bra sizing so that you'll get the best fit. There's a 30-day return policy as well. I'll be honest, though. These bodysuits aren't cheap, nor are they cheaply made. But if you have a big event coming up, it makes sense to pay more for beauty, quality, and security. And, depending on the style you choose, you might find yourself wearing it more often than for just special occasions.

I hope that Ender Legard can, in the future, expand their line beyond core sizes. Any bodysuit design that works to keep up my heavy post-menopausal breasts--while making them look fabulous--is a winner.
