When I heard that one of my best-loved indie UK lingerie brands was launching a new luxury loungewear collection, I couldn’t wait to learn more.
If you read my blog, you know that Harlow & Fox is one of my favorite full bust designers. This new collection answers my prayers for more outstanding lounge and nightwear options for the fuller bust woman. And the best part? Every one of these luxury loungewear pieces easily converts to outerwear. It would be hard not to wear them that way. Even the fabulous robe sashes double as neck or headscarves.
The Harlow & Fox luxury loungewear collection includes a unique designer collaboration with Anna Hayman. I asked Leanna Williams, Founder of Harlow & Fox, to give me some background on the new line and details on their sizing and fit. Enjoy the interview and photos of the collection. And let me know your favorites in the comments below!
What inspired you to design this new collection?
The loungewear launch ties in with celebrations for our 5th birthday (can’t believe how time flies). It includes our first pajama set, silk lined embroidered velvet robes and collaboration with print and textile designer Anna Hayman. I’ve always wanted to bring an entire experience for fuller busted women who desire luxury loungewear. It is why I incorporate robes into all of the ranges. So it’s a natural next step to include pajamas in that as well.Anna Hayman Celeste/Pearl Reversible Fringe Robe
The pajamas reflect our Eleanor gown shape. This design is available in six sizes for small, medium and large DD-F and FF-G. It has gentle pleating under the bust, double-layered silk front, and back panels, and a sash to allow further adjustability. It’s perfect if you prefer to not wear a bra for lounging/sleep. But would still like something for fuller cups, without seams in the wrong places or strained fabric. It’s also great if you prefer something a little more structured than a regular pajama shirt.
The wide leg PJ trousers are great for wearing out as lingerie as outerwear as well. The set comes in gold (Evelyn Amber), navy (Evelyn Midnight) or a print that coordinates with both (Nova).
Each set also has a coordinating robe. Both styles of Evelyn feature gloriously decadent embroidered velvet robes, fully lined in silk. It’s ideal for being cozy in colder temperatures, while still feeling like an utterly indulgent queen. Nova has a floor length print robe, fully lined in gold silk, designed to mix and match with either plain pajama set also.
The finishing touch to this project is working with a fabulous print and interior designer based locally, Anna Hayman. Interiors are always incredibly inspiring to me. And her dark bohemian maximalist style was just irresistible for creating some loungewear. We’ve designed two kimono style robes together. Each is fully reversible, with double layers of contrasting fringing, and fringed belts that double up as head or neck scarves to wear multiple ways. There are no belt loops on either side, so they make great outerwear pieces. You can style them either as a statement piece or as a print clash with contrasting pattern beneath.
