Home Decor Ideas and Inspiration: Boobs Edition

  |   By Elisabeth Dale

Have you seen the recent trend in home decor? It's hard not to notice the number of boob-related items now on the market. Whether it's because of the beauty of the female shape or the taboo around nipples, there's something familiar and fun about them. (There's also a whole range of cartoonish boob items, but this post is about those in more artistic taste and not from the male gaze.) While I've written about the symbolism of breasts in art, today's roundup includes functional items that may inspire you to update your current home decor.

It doesn't matter whether you want to add some female energy and imagery to the living room, kitchen, bath, or bedroom. You'll find boob cups, plates, saucers, planters, hooks, ceramics of all kinds, rugs, bedding, blankets, and even a boob pool float. They're available from small Etsy shops and artist websites to more prominent retailers. We've got several sources in this post to give you an idea of what's available. But if you know of others who love to create home decor in breast shapes, let us know in the comments below!

Gretel Corrie

This ceramicist from Sydney makes a vast array of plates and pots. I discovered this plate on Instagram and fell in love.

Liv & Dom

Liv & Dom are twins, ceramicists, and illustrators from the UK. Check out their food fridge magnets and incense holders. These nude candlesticks (available in two colors) are currently sold out, but I'm hoping they create more soon.

Hillary Dragon Ceramics

One of the things I like about this Etsy Shop is their variety of mugs, tumblers, and planters.

Otherwild

Otherwild has stores in both LA and NY (and of course, online) and is a source for all things celebrating the beauty of the human body. You'll also find an array of sex-positive, inclusive, and feminist products from which to choose. And if you want to make a boob statement with your wardrobe, check out their boob tops and nip tees. I'm especially fond of the Female Support System hooks!

Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters is another source of breast-centric home decor products. They've carried bath mats in the past, but their current stock is limited to mugs and pillowcases. At least you'll be able to add a little boob power to your kitchen and bathroom!
