One of the great joys of sweater weather is that you can wear absolutely anything underneath them! I love this time of year because you can let your fun lingerie tastes shine: embroidery, patterned laces, and even sequins disappear under winter clothing quite well.
Embroidery is one of my favorite lingerie trends, so it makes me happy to see a solid season of styles. There are lots of great embroidered pieces in a huge size range, making this a great time to pick up a new bra or two and inject some fun into your winter lingerie drawer. This list ranges from plus sizes to core sizes and includes full bust sizes as well.
Asmin Bra by Bluebella:
This bra doesn’t fit me, but I wish it did! I love the botanically themed lace as well as the beautiful bottom band. It’s elegant and fun, all at a reasonable price.
Floral Embroidered Animal Print Unlined Demi Bra by Lise Charmel:
Ashley Bra by Empreinte:
Black Floral Embroidered Microfiber Push-Up Strapless Bra by Torrid:
Torrid frequently knocks it out of the park with their lingerie, but it’s generally limited to their bralettes. I’m glad to see them pushing their pretty designs into their molded cup range! This embroidered convertible bra works as a strapless or as a regular bra and is gorgeous.
Abrielle Blue Embroidered Bra by Katherine Hamilton:
This gorgeous full bust bra reminds me of fine china! I love the classic colors and embroidery, which combines the tattoo effect trend with elegant French embroidery.
Glamour Embroidery Underwire Bra by Elila:
Elila has two lovely embroidered sets out currently, and I have worn my way through both of them! This gorgeous glamour set features high-end details and gorgeous embroidery in a great size range. I’ve owned this both in white and in burgundy, and they’re both supportive and beautiful.
Encounter Plunge Bra by Scantilly:
This set was my favorite set of the Autumn/Winter season. It’s gorgeous in person, and the metallic thread stands out. It does suffer from the slightly wacky Scantilly sizing, so go with your Scantilly size and not your regular one.
Heartthrob Bralette by Hanky Panky:
This bra may be perfect for Valentine’s Day, but it's fun and fashionable all year round. The shade of red is excellent, and the embroidery comes off as elegant rather than kitschy.
Rhea Bra by Freya:
Freya has put out some great embroidered bras over the past few years and this season is no exception. The Rhea bra is an excellent bra for everyday wear, but also has beautiful embroidered details that make it an elegant piece.
Raina Balconette Bra by Studio Pia:
The hand detail on this bra is one of the best I have seen in a long time. Its delicate graphic design is unusual. The perfect piece for any lingerie collector in the right size range.
Champs Elysees Balconette Bra by Chantelle:
This bra isn’t new, but it is a great classic piece that deserves a revisit. I love their new ice blue color as well for the detailed and perfectly French embroidery.
Tulip Embroidered Underwire Bra by Elila:
This bra has it all: it’s sophisticated, comes in a great size range and works for almost any occasion. It’s also really supportive, and you can wear it under pretty much anything. Elila has quietly been putting out some killer fashion pieces over the past few years.
Fleur-De-Lis Bralette by Hanky Panky:
While I feel obligated to include this because of my love of my adopted home city, I also think it would make a great bridal piece! It’s unusual, while still being sophisticated and seriously sexy.
Baboushka Full Cup Wire Bra by Prima Donna:
Prima Donna has a well-deserved cult following among full busted women, so I suspect this Baboushka bra is going to end up in lots of lingerie drawers this season. I love the fresh pink floral embroidery on it against the black lace.
Annalise Camelia Padded Half Cup Bra by Fantasie Lingerie:
Fantasie has stepped up their designs over the past few years, but they’ve specifically stepped up their embroidery. Their bras now feature Swiss-designed designs specifically for the brand, which has created some showstopper pieces over the past few years. This bra combines their great embroidery with an easy to wear half cup shape, making it an easy addition to your lingerie drawer this Winter.
Embroidered Strappy Bra and Garter Panty Set by Hips & Curves:
This two-piece set isn't just for Valentine’s Day, plus it's priced well, too! I love the floral embroidery combined with the retro styling.
Have you worn any of this season's embroidered bras? Which ones do you like best?
